BROSNIHAN, Mary Ann (Cleary)

Mary Ann (Cleary) Brosnihan, 77, of Enfield, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on Sunday (December 16, 2007). Mary grew up in Worcester, MA and moved here with her husband, Connie in 1957. She was a graduate of Commerce High School in Worcester and was employed by the East Hartford Credit Union until raising her family. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church and very active in parish activities. She had a zest for life and enjoyed travel with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed her visits to Hampton Beach and trout fishing with her son. She was a member of the Grassmere and Cedar Knob Women's Golf Leagues and the Agawam Senior's Bowling League. Mary also enjoyed playing BINGO and spending time with family and friends. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Mary is survived by her beloved husband, Connie J. Brosnihan, celebrating 50 years of marriage on July 4, 2007; her daughter, Deborah Brosnihan-Staples and her husband Steven of Dover, NH; her son, Kevin P. Brosnihan and his wife Madelyn of Manchester; her two loving granddaughters, Taylor and Kaitlin Brosnihan; her brother, Thomas Cleary of Dudley, MA; ten nieces and many dear friends. Family and friends will gather on Friday, December 21, by 9 a.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels for a procession to Holy Family Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Patrick King Street Cemetery. Mary's family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, December 20, from 4-7 p.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road.
