Gertrude Blasius was born July 25, 1794 at Nunkirchen, Germany, to Nikolaus and Anna Maria (Holz) Blasius. She married Johann Becker January 4, 1810 at Nunkirchen, Germany. He died in Germany and she emigrated to the United States, arriving June 6, 1860, along with two of her daughters.
