Visitation services for Lewis Fields, 76, of Anacoco, will be held from 1-4 p.m. on Oct. 13 at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville. Services are under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.Lewis, the son of Preston and Dora Workman Fields, was born June 17, 1937 in Sarah Ann, W. Va. He passed away Oct. 9, 2013 in Alexandria.Mr. Fields retired from the United States Army as a sergeant first class after serving 20 plus years.He was a Vietnam veteran, serving three tours, and a Korean veteran; he was a Purple Heart recipient. Mr. Fields was an excellent marksman and he was a member of the All Army Rifle Team for a number of years. He was a supervisor for Vernon House where he directly affected and touched many lives. He worked at roleplay as a group leader from 1999 to 2012.He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Henrietta Fields of Anacoco; children, Roberta Graham and husband Billy of Pickering, Thresa Fields Lewis of Hicks, Becky Fields of Slagle, and Trenton Fields of Anacoco; sister, Gladys DeLong of Turkey Creek, Ky.; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
