Grandson of John Henry Diegel, and Elizabeth Ernsthausen of Wapakoneta Ohio/Harriman Tn.
Beloved father of ten children, and numerous grandchildren. Very special Uncle to Vinnie.

Joined the United States Army in 1942 374 Infantry served in the European Theatre, received FOUR Bronze Stars, wounded on Dec.19, 1944 Battle of the Bulge.

Was transferred to the 384th Army Air Corp fighter squadron, group, as mechanic/fuel /ground personnel for the planes stationed in England until the end of the war. And the 364th FIGHTER GR. near the end of World War ll .

Usher for Holy Redeemer Church in Detroit MI.

Drove a semi-truck for the J. L. Hudson co. in Detroit MI. For over 42 years until his retirement in 1980.

Volunteered at OLD ST.MARYS' CATHOLIC CHURCH IN DOWNTOWN DETROIT MICHIGAN for five years.

Achieved his dream of going to Hawaii, and then 7 years in a row.
Now the proud grandfather of 7 grandchildren. Numerous great grandchildren.
