Memorial services for the Bryant family will be held 3:30 p.m. Thursday in Bethel Baptist Church, 325 N.W. Baker Creek Road, McMinnville.

The church pastor, the Rev. Bard Marshall, will officiate. Private family interment is planned afterward.

Clayton Keith Bryant, Ethan Lance Bryant, Ashley Rose Bryant and Alissa Megan Bryant each died Feb. 23, 2002, in the family home near McMinnville. They were victims of apparent homicides.

Clayton Bryant was born April 22, 1986, in Sacramento County, Calif. He was 15.

Ethan Bryant was born Dec. 7, 1989, in Placer County, Calif. He was 12.

Ashley Bryant was born July 29, 1992, in El Dorado County, Calif. She was 9.

Alissa Bryant was born Jan. 6, 1994, in Sacramento County, Calif. She was 8.

They attended school in Shingle Springs, Calif., before moving to McMinnville in the summer of 2001. They had been homeschooled earlier.

They started in the McMinnville public schools in the fall. School officials said they were happy students with good attendance records. Friends described them as nice, quiet and respectful.

Survivors include their maternal grandmother, Joan Smith of Garden Valley, Calif.; paternal grandparents, Keith and Arlene Bryant of Shingle Springs; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Their parents, Robert and Janet Bryant, died in the same Feb. 23 incident.

Arrangements are under the direction of Macy & Son Funeral Directors. Memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Grief Program in care of Macy & Son, 135 N.E. Evans St., McMinnville, OR 97128.
