Lyman had two brothers, Ira and Leander , and three sisters, Jane A., Lydia (who married Charles H. Stone), and Ann Linda (1st wife of Marcus Bonaparte Casler ) who died in 1889.
Lyman married Elizabeth A. Smith, daughter of William Smith and Elizabeth Van Ever . (William Smith died when daughter Elizabeth was young, and mother Elizabeth married Wm. Henry Casler.) Lyman and Elizabeth had a daughter, Almedia, and two sons, Joel and William. Elizabeth died in Michigan shortly after William was born.
Comfort DARLING and Caroline DARLING, which are buried in Collamer Cemetery, Onondaga County, are his paternal grandparents.
Lyman was admitted to the Madison County Alms House Feb. 10, 1910. He died Nov. 10, 1910, and it is believed that he was buried in the Madison County Alms House cemetery, though no documentation has yet been found.
