Frederick L. Darling, 63, of Route 90, West Homer, died unexpectedly this morning at his home.
He was born Feb. 19, 1911 in Pompey, the son of George and Mary Darling.
He was a dairy farmer in West Homer for many years and more recently had been employed at Glenwood Cemetery, Homer.
Surviving are his widow, Mildred B. Darling of West Homer; two sons, James A. Darling of Cortland and Lynn F. Darling of West Homer; four daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Constance) Oaks of Phillipsburg, N.J., Mrs. Thomas (Sylvia) Russell of Lake Como, Diana Ayres of Lake Como and Susan Darling of Preble; two brothers, George Darling of Chittenango and Belden Whitmarsh of Russell; 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday from Briggs Memorial Home, Homer, with the Rev. George E. Gutchess, pastor of the East Summerhill Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in West Homer Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Contributions in Mr. Darling's memory may be made to the East Summerhill Baptist Church.
