William was the oldest of two children born to Jay J. and Anna Maude (Smith) Babcock. He married (1) lone Marsyla and they had one child: Kenneth Henry. He later married (2) Fay Dorothy Fishburn and they had one child: Billy Jo.

William H. Babcock, 63, of 230 Ave. D., died Friday in Battle Mountain, Nev., hospital of a heart attack.
He was born Dec. 19, 1911, in Bridger, the son of Mr. And Mrs. Jay J. Babcock. He grew up and attended chool in the Bridger-Bearcreek area and graduated from high school in Red Lodge. He later attended Eastern Montana College for two years and Anderson's Business College in Billings.
In 1932, he started work for the R. B. Fraser Livestock Co. He has been with the company as a bookkeeper and partsman until five years ago when he retired due to his health.
He married Fay D. Fishburn in June 8, 1946, in Billings. Survivors include his widow; a son, Kenneth Hill of Roundup; a daughter, Mrs. Ronald Harper of 120 Cherry St.; two step-daughters, Mrs. William Diehl of Fayetterville, N.C., and Mrs. Norman Brothers of 4416 Jansma St.; the parents, of Novato, Calif.; a sister, Anna Maude Babcock, also of Novato and eight grandchildren.
