Mario "Pacman" Marcus McArn, Jr. died unexpectedly on November 1, 2009 in Stockton, California. He was 27 years old. Mario was born to Mario McArn, Sr. and Sheryl Jones on January 2, 1982.

He graduated from Bear Creek High School in 2000. Shortly after graduation he enlisted in the United States Navy. He was assigned to the USS Constellation during its final deployment to fight in the global war on terrorism. He departed on November 2, 2001 and was soon supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. In March 2003, Operation Iraqi Freedom commenced. The USS Constellation was designated a night carrier and remained in the Persian Gulf on station throughout the major ground combat phase. During his time in the military, he traveled to Hong Kong, Singapore, Bahrain, Hawaii, and Australia. Mario completed his tour of duty in 2004.

In 2005, Mario entered Fresno City College to pursue his education, after a couple of semesters he transferred to Heald Business College in Fresno. In 2007, he moved back to Stockton and continued his education at the Heald Campus in Stockton. He graduated from Heald with Top Honors in 2009 with a double degree of Associate in Applied Science in Business Administration and Associate of Arts in Business Administration. In August, 2009 Mario, Jr. transferred to the University of Pacific as a Marketing and Business Major. At the time of his death he was in his first semester at UOP.

Mario lived life to its fullest. He was involved in many activities in high school. He was on the speech and debate team, choir, drama, and sports. His true love was football. He played for the North Stockton Bengals as a child and continued in high school with the Bear Creek Bruins and earned the Most Valuable Player Award his junior and senior years. His name still appears on Bear Creek's Wall of Fame. Up until his death he loved watching his younger brothers' football games and could always be found on the side lines cheering them on.

Pac was loved by many and will be greatly missed. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and be of service to anyone he met. He touched many lives in his short time here with us.

He is survived by his parents Mario, Sr of Stockton, his mother Sheryl Jones of Fresno; daughter K'Lanna McArn of Fresno, stepdaughter Amyia Van Oosten of Fresno; brothers Myles and Taylor McArn of Stockton, Maurice McArn of Fresno, Myron Baldoz-McArn of Sacramento, and sister Monique McArn of Fresno; Grandfather Harold McArn, Sr. of Fresno, Grandmother Dorothy Jones of Fresno; nieces Alazha, Mauriyana, Pamela and Diamond McArn of Fresno; and numerous Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.
