Jacint L. Calderazzo, passed away in Chicago, IL, on Friday, September 12, 2008 at the age of 88. Born in Vandergrift Pennsylvania on April 30, 1920 to the late Eugene C. and Carmen (nee Ceraso) Calderazzo. A resident of Valparaiso since early 1961. Jacint was a former Pennsylvania State Police Officer for 10 years and retired Superintendent of Security for National Midwest Steel Co., a member of St. Teresa of Avila in Valparaiso, IN, member of American Legion Post 94 of Valparaiso and former member of the Elks Lodge #500 and the Eagles Lodge of Valparaiso. Survived by daughters Barbara (Michael) Klumpe of Valparaiso, IN, Carmine Calderazzo of Valparaiso, IN, Janie Calderazzo of Wheeling, IL; grandchildren: Ryan (Trisha) Dykes, Samantha Dykes, Amy (Tom) Hubbard, Alexandra Diaz, Byron Max, George and Richard Douglas; sister Gloria Calderazzo of Vandergrift, PA; fiance Lillian Beattie. Preceded in death by 1st wife and mother of children, Joan Calderazzo; 2nd wife, Nancy Calderazzo; sister Doris Gene Intrieri.

He was going to pick up his ex fiance from 60 years ago from the airport in Chicago to see if there was still a connection. He never made it there he died as a result of injuries during a car jacking.
