Valerie had a passion for gardening, and worked alongside her father and brothers for many years at the family business, Rosedale Gardens. She was also employed for many years as a bartender. She was very versatile with her job experience, although her favorite "job"of all, was staying at home and caring for her children. After suffering a major illness that nearly took her life, in 2008, Valerie became disabled, and was no longer able to work.
Valerie cherished her children, family and friends, and enjoyed every second she was able to spend with them. She loved cooking, and was always one to indulge in a great home-cooked meal. She had a very kind, gentle nature about her, and was willing to do anything she could to lend a helping hand.
She is survived by her mother and step-father;two daughters; a son; two brothers; and 3 sisters.
She is preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Roy Anderson, SR.
A memorial service was held Friday, May 25 at 3:00 PM at the Livingston Congregational Church.
