2nd Lieutenant, United States Army, World War I
Battery A, 64th Artillery CAC (Coastal Artillery Corps)

After returning from France after World War I, Harry Schultz married Nellie Lindsey Hedger (daughter of Zachariah Marshall Hedger and Mary Eleanor Lukens) on April 14, 1919 at Newport, Campbell County, Kentucky. They had four sons, Harley McCracken Schultz, Marshall Frank Schultz, Darwin Lindsey Schultz and Alvin Russell Schultz. After the death of his wife Nellie in 1948, Harry remarried Lorraine Leinenbach Miller (daughter of Nicholas Leinenbach and Frances Schlachter) on 04 May 1954 at Ferdinand, Dubois County, Indiana.

Harry served with the Newport, Kentucky Fire Department for 22 years until his retirement, becoming Assistant Chief of Engine Company No. 3 (Clifton/South Newport) in 1959.

Harry disappeared from his home in South Newport on August 25, 1966 after a domestic dispute with his second wife, and was missing for three months. He was found in a wooded area by children, approximately 400 yards from his home on November 20, 1966 and later identified by his son, Harley Schultz, a Fort Thomas Police Officer. The County Coroner stated that he may have suffered a heart attack, but his family believed his death was suspicious. While he was missing, his second wife Lorraine died as a result of burns sustained while cleaning laundry with lighter fluid which was ignited by a cigarette.
