FATAL ACCIDENT. - Mr. William R. Biers, West End, died at this home in that suberb at six o'clock this morning from injuries received during the preceding night. Mr. Biers was in the seventy-fourth year of his age, and for some time past had been afflicted with fenile insanity. About twelve o'clock last night he put his wife out of his room, and when she entered it again at half-past five o'clock this morning, she found him lying on the floor with his neck and breast very much [burnt?] and a broken lamp near by. His night clothing had been on fire but fortunately had been extinguished or the whole house might have been consumed. Dr. Lewis was sent for at once but before he reached there the old gentleman was dead.
