Edwin D. Boulware

Age 88, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully at home in the presence of his wife and family on Tuesday, April 16, 2013.

Ed retired from the Wilmington Police Department as Lt. Detective in 1969 after 20 years of service. He then worked at Chrysler as a guard for another 20 years before retiring in 1989.

Ed served in the US Navy and was a member of the DAP and the VFW. He was very creative and enjoyed cooking, quilting, wood working and gardening.

Ed is survived by his wife of 66 years, Audrey; his children, Marlin Smith, Edwin "Ricky" Boulware (Carolyn), Karen Boulware, Doreene Gliniak (Eddie), Bobbi Jo Twaddell (John) and Bryan Boulware; his sister, Joan Duncan; his grandchildren, Billy, Kevin, Andrew, Tyler, Shelly, Anthony, Samantha, John IV, Erin and Cheryl who was his dedicated caregiver; and his numerous great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be 2 pm on Monday, April 22 in the chapel at GRACELAWN MEMORIAL PARK, N. DuPont PKWY, New Castle where visitation will begin at 1 pm.
