Charles J. Crossan, Sr., 93, of Wilmington, DE., passed away on Saturday, January 18th, 2014.

Charles was a Police Officer for the City of Wilmington. He retired as a Sergeant in 1969 after 20 years of service. After retirement, he worked for the State of Delaware in the Health and Social Services division as a Fraud Investigator. Charles was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Wanda I. Crossan, his son, Charles J. Crossan, Jr., his grandsons, Charles J. III, Eric and David Crossan and 5 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road Pike Creek, on Wednesday, January 22, at 12noon, where visitation will begin at 11 AM. Entombment will be in the Crypt of Our Lady of Hope in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Charles may be sent to Seasons Hospice, 702 B, Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19805.
