Thomas Charles Reynolds, Jr.

On April 12, 2007, our beloved husband, brother, father, and grandfather passed away in his home surrounded by his loved ones.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on December 31, 1930, the son of Thomas and Agnes Reynolds. Tom was a member of the Marine Corps League and was one of the "Chosin Few" of the first Marine Division-named for the bitter fighting they endured while in the Chosin Reservoir in North Korea in 1950. He served with the Anti-Tank Platoon of the first Marine Regiment in the Korean War, where he was missing in action for 3 days. Tom graduated from Temple University and pursued a successful career in Real Estate Appraising for over 40 years. He earned the MAI and SRPA designations. He was involved professionally for many years with the Appraisal Institute and the Society of Real Estate Appraisers, where he was International Vice President, and President of the local Delaware Chapter and Regional Governor. Formerly President of Sharpley Civic Association, President of Birthright of Delaware, and President of Delaware Children's Theatre. Tom was extremely proud of his 5 children and 13 grandchildren. In 1970, Tom moved his family to the home he designed, built, and cared for so proudly. He and his wife traveled extensively in the United States and abroad, highlighted by visits with Tom's long line of relatives overseas.

Tom is survived by his wife, Mary Pat (Lynn) Reynolds, of 54 years; and his 5 children, Thomas C. Reynolds, III, Maureen, and husband, Butch Zito, Carol, and husband, Doug Rummel, Eileen, and husband, Don Staley, and Catherine Reynolds, and husband, Graham Collette; his 13 grandchildren; and his brother, John "Jack" Reynolds.
