Mary Francis Haney Abbott, 62 years of age, of Somerset, Kentucky, departed this life on Thursday, February 18th, 2010 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.
Mary was born on May 31st, 1947 in Somerset, Kentucky, the daughter of Charles Edward Haney and Lucy Marie Sawyer Haney. She was a housekeeper and member of the Gospel Tabernacle.
Mary was survived by her mother, Lucy Haney of Somerset, Kentucky; two daughters, Donna Griffis of Somerset, Kentucky and Michelle Renee Abbott also of Somerset, Kentucky; one brother, Harold Haney of Somerset, Kentucky; two sisters, Grace Marie Smith of Somerset, Kentucky and Betty Jean Mounce also of Somerset, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Chad Erick Worley, Desiree Cook, and Ethan Cole Abbott Foreman; one great-grandchild, Gracelynn Jo King; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by husband, James Ernest Abbott; her father, Charles Edward Haney; two brothers, Kenneth Haney and Bernard Troy Haney; and three sisters, Ella Mae Mounce, Joyce Ann Mounce, and Sally Fayrene Haney.
Visitations were held on Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lake Cumberland Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Phillips officiating.
Burial followed in the Mill Springs National Cemetery in Nancy, Kentucky.
