Ivan Denton Randall Jr., 4 month old infant, was called to rest on February 9, 1956, at his home in Superior, Montana, due to an enlarged thymus gland. Ivan was born June 7, 1955 in Greensburg, Indiana to Ivan and Juanita Randall.
He is survived by his parents and a brother.
Ivan was buried February 12, in the Superior Cemetery, in Superior, Montana. Lucy Hayes Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
*Cause of death listed as "possibly enlarged thymus gland." Many infant deaths earlier than 1950 were attributed to thymus defects. Recent studies show that infants glands are generally larger than adult glands. Upon further examination, some of the previous "thymus gland deaths" were actually cases of sudden infant death syndrome.
