Josh Dobkins, 202 Huffaker Street, died suddenly Thursday at Somerset City Hospital.

The son of the late William and Margaret Burton Dobkins, he was born August 15, 1896, in Burnside. He married Mary Melda Randall June 2, 1946 in Stanford.

Dobkins is survived by his wife, three children Jack Dobkins, Somerset; Raymond Dobkins, Dayton, Ohio; and Lucille Burton, Deland, Illinois. He is also survived by eight step-children; Ima Jean Thomas, Cincinnati; Ohio; Ivan Randall, Livingston, Montana; Naomi McFarland, Somerset; Fred Randall, Shelbyville Indiana; Marlene Phelps, Cincinnati, Ohio; Odell Randall, Somerset; Omer Randall and John Randall, both of Cincinnati, Ohio; and by two brothers; John Dobkins of Hoopston Illinois, and Dow Dobkins of Bedford, Indiana; and two sisters; Molly Trimble of Hoopston, Illinois, and Dolly Brock of Dayton, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. at the Huffaker Church of God of Prophesy on Speedway Drive, with the Rev. Robert L. Strickland officiating. Burial will be in Somerset City Cemetery.

Denney-Murrell-Correll Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
