Adam, Emil of Alton, Ill. was born c.1832 born in Bavaria, Germany. He was a lithographer.

He was a member of GAR Post #443 (Hecker) in Belleville, Ill.
On Jan. 16 or 17, 1903, he died at Belleville.

Emil was 5 feet, 9 inches tall, light hair, blue eyes. On March 18, 1907 his widow, Mary Hill Adam. applied for a pension while living in Illinois.

His children were Emil Adam, c.1860 born at Belleville, Ill.
Lulu Adam, c.1866, Mamie Adam, c.1867, Otto Adam, c.1876 born at Belleville.
