Russell W. Smith Jr, is my 1st cousin 1x removed. He was son of my grand aunt Ethel Mae (Styers) Smith and her husband Russell, Sr. Brother of Ronald D. Styers and Kay F. (Jolley) Givens.
A native and resident of Baltimore, Maryland.
His parents and sister Kay Givens are also with him in Heaven now.
I am told by my mother, that Russell, her cousin was a very nice young man. I saw a photo of him once at my aunt's house, his mother and still remember what a handsome young man he was. I find it a shame that he left us so soon and really wish I could have met him as I did his brother.
Cause of death: Contracted malaria and another disease while training in Guam.
