Mass of Christian Burial for Roger T. Young, 61, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 Ela St., Barrington, where he will lie in state from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. Fr. Tom Bishop will officiate. Interment will be private.
Visitation at the Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Road), Barrington.
Roger was the Vice President for Charles Levy for several years, helping start their software division, Computer Software Service (CSS).
He left there and started his own corporation.
He graduated Loyola University, was an animal lover, and an avid sports fan.
He was the beloved husband of 33 years to Sharon (nee Stralka);
father of Susan Amen, Donna (Bill) Bravos, Kevin (Peggy) Davidson and Michelle (Brett) Garelli;
grandfather of Christina (Lee), Stephanie, John, Brandon, Stacey, Alyssa, Abigail, and Alexis;
great-grandfather of Cameron;
