Alvin Kendrick Services Thursday Funeral services for Alvin Benjamin Kendrick, 79, who died in a local hospital yesterday afternoon following a lengthy illness, will be held from the Church of the Nazarene, Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. A resident of Santa Maria for the past nine years, Kendrick was born in Arkansas, July 23, 1876. Survivors include five sons, James Thomas Kendrick, Ed Lee Kendricks, R. G. Kendrick, O. H. Kendrick, and Wilbur Kendrick all of Santa Maria; one daughter, Mrs. Floyd King, Santa Maria; 25 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; two brothers, Harvey Kendrick, Enid, Okla., and Clyde Kendrick; Lubbock, Tex.; and two sisters, Susie Jackson, Memphis, Tenn., and Mrs. Nellie Tipton, Oklahoma City, Okla. Magner Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. Interment will be in Santa Maria cemetery.
