Two Tenth Regiment Men, Albert Barbe, of
Waynesburg, and Milton Garver, of Wash-
ington, Killed by Lightning - Clyde Morri-
son, of Oil City, Also Stricken
James Albert Barbe was the son of W. H. Barbe, Esq., deceased, a former attorney at the Waynesburg bar, and was 30 years of age. He received his education in the Waynesburg public schools and also attended Waynesburg College, and while in school was prominent in athletics, being a member of the college football team. By occupation he was a civil engineer and had been in the employ of the Waynesburg Construction company. Private Barbe had belonged to Company K, Tenth regiment, only a little over a year and this last encampment was the second one in which he participated. He was a young man of natural ability and possessed of a genial disposition. His mother and one brother, Frank Barbe, survive.
