Sarah was the wife of Benjamin Nelson, who died on 28 Aug 1854, probably in USA, NY, Niagara, Wilson. She is shown in the 1860 US census for USA, NY, Niagara, Wilson, as the head of a household consisting of her son Pumphrey, his wife, and their first two children. She has not been found in records after 1860. If she died in Wilson, it is probable that she is buried on Section C, Lot 16, in Greenwood Cemetery with her husband, who owned this lot. Her mother, Sarah Sloan, is also buried on this lot. (When a reading of Section C was completed in 1988, a marker for Sarah Sloan was found and read. By the time the cemetery was photographed in the summer of 2015, her marker had gone missing.) Although several of her children moved to Michigan, no record of her living or dying in Michigan has yet been found.
