Raymond Adams Rites Are Held Here Monday
---Funeral services for Raymond V. Adams were held from the Peoples church in Colby Monday with rev. Clyde E. Jones, assisted by rev. O. K. Biddlingmeier, conducting the services.
---Interment was in the cemetery at Brewster.
---Ray Virgil Adams, son of Thomas Vernon and Annie E. Adams was born Sept. 5, 1915 south of Levant, Kan. He passed away March 7, 1958 at the age of 42 years, 6 months and 2 days.
---His death came as a result of injuries received when thrown from the city garbage and trash collection truck. He was in the St. Thomas hospital of Colby three days before his death.
---Ray made many friends and acquaintances, having worked on farms and various other jobs. The past 23 years, Ray has made his home in the Colby vicinity.
---He was preceded in death by his father, two brothers and two sisters.
---He leaves to mourn his departure his mother, Annie E. Adams; three sisters, Fannie L. Harrison of San Francisco, Mrs. Ethel M. Halberb[sic], Burlingame, Kan., and Mrs. Edna Parsons of Colby; two brothers, Lawrence W. Adams of Denver and Charley L. Adams of Herndon; uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
