Dr. Abbott was born in Linn Co., Mo., the son of Joseph K. and Julia Nester Abbott. He attended rural schools and high schools in Brookfield and Chillicothe, Mo. He received his M.D. degree in 1907 from the Barnes Medical College in St. Louis, Mo. He set up practice in Goldsberry, Mo. For over thirty years he served the people of the area in all kinds of weather and at all hours of the day or night. Dr. Abbott died in Randolph Co.,Moberly, Mo.
