Estella B. Wiggins was born Nov. 20, 1890 to John Albert and Aurelia Dickerson Wiggins at Atchison, Kansas. She was the fifth of seven children - the last survivor of the seven.

She married Elbert Harrison Humble on Jan. 24, 1910 at Pawhuska, OK and five children were born to them: Howard Luther, who lived only one day, James Elbert, Esther Louise, who died at the age of 2, Flora Ruth, and Richard Fred. After living in northeastern Oklahoma and southeastern Kansas several years, engaged in ranching and farming, they moved to a homestead near Elkhart, Morton County, Kansas for five years. After a few years in Ponca City, OK where Elbert worked as an electrical engineer, they moved to Cedar Vale, Kansas in 1927. She resided there the rest of her life.

Elbert died in 1931, leaving Stella with three children to raise. Samuel P. Mundy, a good family friend, had also lost his mate. He and Stella married April 10, 1937 in Cedar Vale, Kansas. He preceded her in death on April 1, 1960.

Stella died on May 28, 1986 at the Cedar Vale Hospital at the age of 95. She had been in failing health for several years, and resided at the Cedar Vale Manor during this time.

She had been a member of the church of Christ for many years, and exemplified the principles of Christianity in her daily life.

At the time of her passing, Stella was survived by one daughter, Ruth Davis of Broken Arrow, OK; one son, Dick Humble of rural Wann, OK; one step-son, Earl Mundy of rural Sedan, Kansas; nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
