Funeral services were held t Mills Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bill LaPorte officiating. Pallbearers were John Kennedy, Frank Fabry, Luke Wilson, Gene Campbell and Jack Larison. Honoraries: Bill Slover, Ray Curliss and Joe Long.
Mrs. Cloyd was born Feb. 8, 1901 at Yukon. She and Ed Cloyd were married Nov. 27, 1917 at Atoka. He preceded her in death on Feb. 28, 1988. In 1917 Mrs. Cloyd carried mail, during the war, by team and wagon from the rail station to the post office. She was a member of the Central Christian Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.
She was survived by two sons, John L,. Cloyd of McAlester and Clyde Clifton Cloyd of Independence, MO.; a daughter, Roberta Morrison of McAlestger; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and two brothers, Harold Russell of West Hollywood, CA and Robert Russell of Ponca City, OK.
