Theresa H. Voige, 86, of Montrose, Pa., passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 19, 2013, at the Endless Mountains Health Systems, Montrose, Pa. She was born on October 14, 1927, in Throop, Pa., to the late Stephen P. and Mary A. (Danielski) Elsky. Theresa was predeceased by her husband, Louis H. Voige; daughter, Marita T. Mondi; two sisters, Helen Snyder, and Sophie Kielceski; three brothers, Zigmund, Stanley and Edward Elsky. Theresa was a loving mother who supported her daughters selflessly and was a loving grandmother. She had an unwavering faith in God, and was a lifelong member of the Holy Name of Mary Church. Theresa loved animals, was a passionate reader, and loved to feed the birds. She worked at Bendix, where she met her husband, was a loving homemaker, and worked as a caregiver for many in the Montrose area. People always felt a special bond with Theresa because of her honesty, and quick and friendly wit. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 24, 2013, at the Holy Name of Mary Church. Interment will be in St. Augustine Cemetery, Silver Lake, Pa. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home, Montrose, Pa., and prayer vigil at 8 p.m.
