Frances E. Bielen, 83, of Fords, passed away Monday, Feb. 15, 2010 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Rahway. Mrs. Bielen was born in Bayonne and had lived the last fifty four years in Fords. She was employed in sales for Abraham and Strauss, Woodbridge for seventeen years before retiring in 1987. She previously worked for Western Electric and Montgomery Ward. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace RC Church, Fords and the Fords-Keasbey Senior Citizens Club.
She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Eleanor and one sister, Jean Deitz. She is survived by her loving husband, of sixty one years, Stanley P. Bielen; beloved mother of son Kenneth and his wife Mary Bielen, two daughters, Judith and her husband Brenton Smith, Joyce and her husband John McNally, five grandchildren, two nieces and five nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday 10:00 am at the Mitruska Funeral Home, Inc., 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords, followed by a 10:30 am mass in the Our Lady of Peace Church, Fords. Private Entombment will follow. Visitation hours will be held Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The Fords-Keasbey seniors will hold services Thursday 3:30 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Peace RC Church, P.O. Box 69, Fords, NJ 08863
