Lance Cpl. Daniel Nathan Deyarmin turned 22 just two days before he was killed Monday.Deyarmin, of Tallmadge, graduated in 2002 from Tallmadge High School, where he played football, said his sister Erica, 23. He hoped to open a rental property business when he returned from Iraq.Deyarmin enjoyed racing dirt bikes and four-wheelers through Tallmadge, east of Akron in northeast Ohio. He also wanted to restore cars, his sister said.“That was his favorite thing to do,” she said.Before leaving for duty, Deyarmin was one of four Marines who spoke to students at a local middle school about serving in Iraq.“He believed in his country,” Erica Deyarmin said. “He loved being a Marine.”

TALLMADGE LCpl. Daniel Nathan Deyarmin Jr., 22, died Aug. 1, 2005, in Haditha, Iraq.

Born in Akron, he lived all his life in Tallmadge, and was a 2002 graduate of Tall madge High School. He joined the Marines in 2003 and served with Weapons Company, 3rd Batallion, 25th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Elden Deyarmin. He is survived by his parents, Dan and Edie Deyarmin; sister, Erica Deyarmin; grand mothers, Barbara E. Davis and Elizabeth Deyarmin; grandfa ther, Ed Hughes; uncles, Lex (Pam) Hughes and Al (Nancy) Deyarmin, Dennis (Tina) Deyar min; aunts, Debbie (Joe) Davis, Arleen (Denny) McLain; special second family, Ed, Debbie, Sandi, and Eddie Papp; and numer ous cousins.

We say good-bye with pride; you made us proud. "You are a Deyarmin and you can do any thing." You were a best friend to many, a son to some, a hero to all. You kept us young and made everything fun; most of all you were "My Boy," my buddy and friend. I'll miss you and love you forever until we are together again. Love, Mom.
