53, passed away Thursday of injuries sustained in an unexpected accident. Larry moved to Avon Lake in 1986 where he was known around town as Gomer.

A 1979 graduate of Naugatuck High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force serving five years being honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant in 1984. A 23 year veteran of the Avon Lake Fire Department as a firefighter and paramedic. He also owned his own company, "As You See It" Building and Maintenance.

Larry enjoyed fishing and working with his hands. An avid reader and retained most every thing he read which lead to an endless knowledge. He was also described as a conversationalist, ending every conversation with a joke.

Part of a close family and spoke to his children, if not in person, by phone everyday; he is survived by his wife Stephanie (nee Doyle) whom he married December 9, 1983.


He is also survived by a son; a daughter and son-in-law; two grandchildren; three sisters and three brother-in-laws.

Preceded in death by his parents, the late Antoni and Marie (nee Zielonka)

Friends may call at the Busch Funeral Home, 163 Avon-Belden Rd., Avon Lake, Tuesday, November 18th from 2:00-8:00pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Joseph Church 32929 Lake Rd. Avon Lake at 11:00am on Wednesday. Fr. Ron Wearsch of the church will officiate.

Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Avon.
