CHARLES L'HOMMEDIEU 2005-11-07

Charles L'Hommedieu, 71, of Cape Coral, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2005. He was born October 28, 1934 in Neptune, NJ and moved to Cape Coral in 2003 from Manasquan, NJ.

He was the owner and operator of Rain Tunnel Car Wash for 20 years in Bradley Beach, NJ and also owned and operated the Woodside Construction Company for over 20 years in New Jersey.

Mr. L'Hommedieu is survived by his two daughters: Laurie Valente (Thomas) and Jacquelyn L'Hommedieu, both of Cape Coral; two sisters: Eleanor Poland of Jacksonville and Harriett Hicks of Manasquan, NJ. Also surviving is his granddaughter: Karlye Valente and his lifelong friend: Carol Anderson of Cape Coral. A daughter preceded him in death: Victoria L'Hommedieu in 1980.

Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 PM on Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at Cape Coral Memorial Funeral Home, 3740 Del Prado Blvd. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM Wednesday until the time of the service. Charles will be cremated and his ashes will be spread over the Gulf of Mexico.
