Head Coach University of Evansville Basketball.

A DC-3 carrying the University of Evansville basketball team to Nashville, Tenn., crashed on takeoff from Dress Regional Airport in rain and fog on the evening of December 13, 1977, killing all 29 on board.

Served with the 101st Airborne Division during the Vietnam War. He received the Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal and five Purple Hearts.
