She was originally buried in the Boyd Cemetery and when Beaver Lake was built they moved the burial to Oak Grove Cemetery. It was told to me that there were only the buttons from her dress remaining in the casket when it was opened. My grandpa "Wint" Parsley wanted to keep the buttons but they could not be removed.

Martha (Pirkle or Purtle) and her husband were married in Flowerey Branch, Hall County, GA on 11 November 1847.

They had 5 children:
Garrison Miller 15 Sept 1848-1929
Elizabeth (Miller) Parsley June 10, 1850-1932
Emily Savannah (Miller) Deaton - 5 June 1854
Ina I. Miller - 23 Feb 1864 (died young)
James A. "Jim" - February 24th 1864
