Musician. The youngest of seven children of actors Jeanne Crain and Paul Brooks (real name Brinkman), Chris grew up in Southern California. He began playing the guiter in his early teens, eventually playing with local grunge bands. In 1985 he joined the rock group Jane's Addiction. After a year and a half the other members of the group gave him the boot due to Chris's drug use and unreliability. His body was found in a Hollywood motel dead from an overdose of heroin at age 31.
