ELDORADO —

Monav Donithan, 84, resident of Eldorado passed away Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013, at Ferrell Hospital.

She was born Jan. 9, 1929, in Cave-In-Rock to the late Lawrence Thurston and Ula (Reed) Patton. On July 6, 1962, she married Cecil Thomas Donithan who preceded her in death. Monav was an Associate Degree Nursing Instructor, and later obtained a master's degree in nursing. She taught at Southeastern Illinois College prior to retirement. She was a member of the Leamington Community Church.

She is survived by 2 daughters, 4 brothers, 2 sisters, 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a brother, Everett Thurman Patton; two sisters, Corena Schutt, Shelba Jean Franklin; and a grandson, Joseph Brazell.

Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug., 11, 2013, at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado with the Rev. Arthur Austin Jr. and Pastor Lee Fricker officiating. Burial will be in Central Cemetery near Elizabethtown. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Central Cemetery fund and will be accepted at the funeral home.
