Mary Ann Brunette, 76, of Franklin, Texas passed away on Friday, June 6, 2014 at her residence.

She was born on September 6, 1937 in Bryan, Texas to John Richard Slaughter and Addie Pearl Barnett Slaughter. She was a 1956 graduate of Franklin High School and also a graduate of Neilson Beauty College.

She married Richard Leon Brunette on February 16, 1957.

Mary Ann was employed with Dresser Industries and retired after 18 years. She had been a resident of Franklin for the past 11 years previously living in Irving for 41 years. Mary Ann was a born again Christian and a member of the Common Ground Cowboy Church in Kosse. She was also a member of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Richard Slaughter; mother, Addie Pearl Caldwell; Step-father, Doyal O'Neal Caldwell, Sr. and brother, John Thomas Slaughter.

She is survived by:

Daughter and Son-in-law – Tammy and Mike Wilson of Bremond Son – Ricky Brunette of Franklin Step-Sisters – Mary Nell Sims of Waco Wanda Sue Gilbert and Husband, Charles of Waco Half Brother – Doyal O'Neal Caldwell, Jr. and Wife, Kathleen of Huntsville

3 Grandchildren – Rebecca and Chris Thompson, Eric Brunette, and Katlyn Wilson, 1 Great Grandchild – Colton John Thompson

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, June14, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at the Common Ground Cowboy Church in Kosse.

Memorial may be made to the Scottish Rite Hospital in May Ann's name.
