Dick R. Allen, 61, of Fort Worth passed away Thursday, July 26, 2012, at a Fort Worth hospital from complications following a recent accident. Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Marshall & Marshall Chapel in Hillsboro. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro. Memorials: May be made to Hill County Paw Pals, P.O. Box 1533, Hillsboro, Texas 76645.

Dick was born on April 14, 1951, in Ennis to Hoye and Hazel Marie Channon Allen. He grew up in Hillsboro and graduated from Hillsboro High School. He also attended the University of Texas at Arlington. Dick opened a construction supply company in Fort Worth in 1987 and just recently celebrated his 25th year in business. Dick was a very sweet and kind person. He loved to work, travel, play golf, read, listen to music and play chess. Preceding him in death were his parents and three brothers.

Survivors: He is survived by his loving wife, Eileen; and precious furry friends, Walter, Marshal, Katie and Benjamin.
