Don was a classmate, and a close friend who I ran with in high school. He was a very talented actor, and won third place in dramatic duet, at the state speech tournament. He was tragically killed just two weeks shy of his seventeenth birthday. He lived a short life, but did a lot of living in the time he was given.




IDABEL TEEN DIES IN WRECK

An Idabel teenager died early Saturday morning from injuries sustained in a one-car accident near Millerton, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Donovan Wesley Albright, 16, was pronounced dead on arrival at McCurtain Memorial Hospital shortly after the accident occurred at 4:30 a.m. on US 70 about 400 feet east of the Millerton city limits.


Donovan Wesley Albright was born Dec. 13, 1962, at Ardmore. He was a junior at Idabel High School and was employed by radio station KBEL in Idabel.

He had lived in Idabel six months, moving from Ardmore.

Burial will be in the Rosedale Cemetery in Ada.



Survivors include his father and stepmother, Dr. and Mrs. Gene Albright of Idabel; his mother, Mrs. June B. Albright of Edmond;
