William J. Heelan, 74, died Sunday, April 22 at the West Side Medical Center in Plantation, FL. He was the son of the late Francis P. and Clotilda F. (Hellman) Heelan. Born in Stoughton, he was a graduate of Stoughton Schools. Mr. Heelan was a veteran of the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked as the Manager of Sharon Country Club in Sharon for over 23 years, retiring many years ago. Mr. Heelan was a resident of Florida for over 25 years. He was a member and Past Commander of the American Legion in Stoughton. He was also a Life Member of Sharon Country Club and a member of Arrowhead Country Club in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He was also a basketball coach in FL. In his free time, he enjoyed golf and traveling.

He is survived by .................. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Loretta M. Tejada and brother, Francis P. Heelan Jr. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, April 27, at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday 5-8 PM. Donations in Bill's name may be made to American Heart Assoc., 20 Speen St., Framingham, 01701. Burial will be in their family lot at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
