Fred was the second of six children born to John Henderson and Telitha Anna 'Annie' (Colvin) Darrow. He never married, and died at the age of 24.

Funeral of Soldier

Full military honors were accorded George F. Darrow, whose funeral was held in the Coptral Christian church Wednesday afternoon. A company of soldiers escorted the body from the church to the Mt. Olivet cemetery, where a military burial occurred. Deceased was the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Darrow, 329 East First South street. He died at Fort McHenry, Md., on Oct. 2, of Spanish influenza.
