Ruth Verna Cole, 76, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, March 19, of heart failure complicated by diabetes.
Mrs. Cole was born October 1, 1922 in Zillah, Washington. She married Chester Cole on April 4, 1942 in Vancouver, Washington. They moved to Lebanon in 1960 where Mrs. Cole was a homemaker.
Mrs. Cole was a member of the Good Sam Camper Club, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary. She enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, traveling, reading, and spending time with her granddaughters. Mrs. Cole loved her family dearly and was greatly loved by them. She will be remembered be her family and friends for her kindness, sense of humor, and outgoing personality.
Mrs. Cole is survived by her husband of fifty-six years, Chester of Lebanon; sons Chester, Jr. of Turner and Dean of West Linn; granddaughters Debbie and Lori of Sacramento, California and Erin of West Linn. Preceding her in death were her parents George and Clarice (Lange) Colvin; brothers, Ralph, Robert, George, and Don Colvin.
Disposition was cremation. Private internment will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland. Gifts of remembrance in Mrs. Cole's name may be made to the Lebanon Community Hospital.
