"Chester T. Hale, Resident of City Since 1866, Dies
Chester T. Hale, 89, died shortly before noon today at the home of his son, Henry Hale, 920 south Twentieth street, following a short illness.
Mr. Hale was born in South Glastonbury, Conn., and came to Fort Dodge in 1866. His wife died forty-nine years ago and for the past forty years he had made his bome with his son.
Besides his son he leaves two grandchildren. One son preseded him in death.
The body is at the Laufersweiler funeral parlors. Funeral arrangements are incomplete."

"Funeral Services For Chester T. Hale Held This Afternoon.
Funeral services for Chester T. Hale, 89, who died Saturday morning at the home of his son, Henry Hale, were held this afternoon at 2:15 at the Laufersweiler Funeral parlors and at 3 o'clock at the Congregational church in Kalo. The Rev. Arthur Peterson of the Epworth Methodist church of this city conducted the services. Burial was in the Otho cemetery.
The pallbearers were Ollie Hanson, Arthur Fortney, Adam Johnston, Orville Barlow, Harley Had and Charles Laird."

The middle initial "T" MAY have been for his mother's maiden name Tallcott, but sufficient documention has not been found.
