Rites Held for A.H. Anderson

Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 20, at the Methodist church with Rev. Douglas Norris officiating. Internment was in Forest Hill Cemetery.
A. Henry Anderson was born at Estilline, S.D., Oct. 18, 1892, to Anna and Andrew Anderson. In his early childhood he moved with his parents to Mille Lacs county and located in Hayland township. On April 1, 1922, he was united in marriage to Anstis Hubbard and has been a resident of this community since that time. He passed away March 14, at the age of 72 years, four months and 26 days.
Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife, Anstis, three daughters, Mrs. Melvin Ripke (Bette Anne), of St. Paul; Mrs. McAllister (Allyne Jane), of Minneapolis; Mrs. David Maudsley (Mary Lou), of Rialto, Calif.; three sons, Phillip L. Anderson, of Milaca; Amon Ra Anderson, of Milaca; and Aemer D. Anderson, of Palo Alto, Calif. Also two brothers, Art of River Falls, Wis.; and Ted, of Osceola, Wis.; one sister, Mrs. Luedke, of Minneapolis; besides 11 grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and a large host of friends.
He was very active in the Co-op movement and helped serve on the boards of the Co-op Oil station, creamery and R.E.A.; he also served as a county committeeman for A.A.A. for many years.
Casket bearers were Harold Nelson, Oscar Axell, Eric Broberg, R.C. Larson, Dorr Wilkens and Harold Gardner.
