"James F. Blend"
Sevices for James F. Blend, 44, of Grimes, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, with burial in Glendale Cemetery.
Mr. Blend died of a heart attack at his home.
Mr. Blend was a lifelong resident of Des Moines until he moved to Grimes about 6 months ago. He was a painter for the West Des Moines School District and a member of St. Stephen Church.
Survivors include two sons, James F., Jr., and Steven S., both of Des Moines; a daughter , Mrs. Diane Turley of Dexter, and a grandson.
The body is at Westover Funeral Home.
