Burley, Ida. - Mrs. Gladys Ellen Nelson Beyler, 52, resident of Malta for many years, died Saturday in a Salt Lake City hospital. She was born Jan. 12, 1897, in Fish Haven, Ida., and moved to Hans Fork, Wyo., with her parents as a young child.
She was married to Leo William Beyler in Salt Lake City Oct. 11, 1915. They moved to Malta shortly after. She was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving as counselor for the Relief Society for 14 years. She also was a Primary worker and active in genealogical work.
Survivors include her husband, nine sons and daughters: Mrs. Gladys Thompson, Burley; Mrs. Valoy Buckingham, Logan, Utah; Arvil Beyler, Los Angeles, Cal.; Mrs. Ellen Spencer, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Edith Anderson, Logan; Mrs. Ressa Hutchison, Malta; Grant Beyler, LDS missionary in Minnesota; Lamont and Tvonne Beyler, Burley; 15 grandchildren; her father, David F. Nelson, Bountiful, Utah, and six brothers and sisters: Marcus Nelson, Salt Lake City; Ralph Nelson, Oregon; Rudgar and Austin Nelson and Mrs. Idella Pugmire, Kemmerer, Wyo., and Clifford Nelson, Ft. Rich, Wyo.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Malta, LDS Ward chapel by J. Henry Thompson, bishop. Burial will be in Malta cemetery under direction of the McCulloch Funeral home.
