Donald Beyerlin

SPRINGFIELD — A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 20, at Thurston Grange Hall for Donald R. Beyerlin of Springfield. He died May 22 of complications of heart surgery at age 81.

He was born Sept. 2, 1927, in Goshen to Buel and Bessie Winter Beyerlin. He married Ruth Knutson on Sept. 12, 1947, in Eugene.

Beyerlin worked in the merchant marine and served in the U.S. Army. He worked in the timber industry as a heavy-equipment operator.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Richard of North Bend, Wash.; three daughters, Donnita Christina of Springfield, Kristi Moyer of Pacific, Wash., and Kim Clemons of Bridgeport, Calif.; a brother, Gene of San Antonio; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grand­children. Two sons, Kevin and Ron, died previously.

Arrangements by Andreason's Cremation & Burial Service in Springfield. Remembrances to the intensive care unit at Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend.
