Wilfred Beyerlin

Wilfred Benjamin Beyerlin , age 90, of Ferndale, passed away Tues., Dec. 2, 2003, in Bellingham. He was born May 14, 1913 in Vida, OR to William and Bessie (Tate) Beyerlin and had been a Whatcom County resident since 1936. Mr. Beyerlin served in the Army and joined the Navy during WWII. He married Ione Widman on Apr. 17, 1942 in Ferndale. His hobbies included painting and small wood projects. Mr. Beyerlin was a member of First Baptist Church for 60 years, Ferndale Senior Center, and the American Legion Kulshan Post #154. He was employed for 24 years at Bellingham Frozen Foods as a custodian.

Survived by his wife, Ione at the family home daughters, Vivian Helfrich of Las Vegas, NV, Elvera Osborn of Everett, Evelyn Gates of Terrebonne, OR, Dianne Spanski of Kent, Gloria Williamson of Minot, ND sons, Calvin Beyerlin of Ferndale, Allen and Roger Beyerlin both of Bellingham 22 grandchildren 14 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, seven brothers, two sisters and one granddaughter.

Visitation will be Thurs., Dec. 4, 4- 7 pm at Greenacres Moles Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held Fri., Dec. 5, 1 pm at First Baptist Church, 5759 Vista Dr., Ferndale with Pastor David Lunsford officiating. Private family graveside at Greenacres Moles Cemetery.
